Medium sized Evergreen trees; bark glabrous, with cinnamon odor; branchlets terete, glabrous; winter buds with glabrous or ciliate scales.
Leaves subopposite to alternate, coriaceous, lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate to caudate at apex, acute to obtuse at base, 6-11 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, glabrous and lustrous above, with 3 main veins, 2 main lateral veins reaching to upper 2/3 of midrib, elevated above, slightly elevated beneath, midrib elevated the both surfaces, tadditional lateral veins 3-4 pairs, veinlets often reticulate, young Leaves glabrous on both sides; petioles glabrous, 0.8-1.5 cm long.
Inflorescences cymose-umbells, peduncle 4-5 cm long, axillary, 3-6-flowered;flowers campanulate, ca. 4 mm across; receptacles 1.5 mm long, 3 mm broad; pedicels glabrous, 6-7 mm long; tepals 6, ovate-elliptic to oblong, 4 mm long, obtuse, glabrous outside, densely pubescent inside, filaments nearly glabrous, 3rd whorl of stamens with 2 sessile glands; staminodia hirsute at apex; ovary ovate, style 1.5 mm long, glabrous.
Drupe ellipsoid, ca. 1.2 cm long, 7 mm across, glabrous, mucronate at apex.
